Everything you need for multi-chapter imports

Built for publishers, typesetters, and designers who regularly move long-form content from Word into InDesign.

📄

Multi-File Import

Select all your Word documents at once. No more importing one file at a time — pick 2 files or 50 in a single dialog.

📐

Custom Page Setup

Set page width, height, margins (top, bottom, inside, outside), columns, bleed, and slug — all from one settings dialog before import.

🔗

Auto-Threading

Text automatically flows across pages with threaded frames. Each Word file becomes its own InDesign section with proper recto starts.

🎨

Style & Font Mapping

Fonts are extracted directly from your Word documents and applied into InDesign — no hardcoded fonts. Heading styles, lists, footnotes, and body text are mapped to clean InDesign styles with CMYK colours.

↕️

File Reordering

A built-in reorder dialog lets you move files up and down to set the exact chapter order before building — no filename tricks needed.

📊

Progress & Logging

A live progress bar shows each file being imported. A detailed log file records every step, timing, and any warnings for review.

Three steps to a finished document

The script handles the tedious parts so you can focus on design.

1

Configure

Set your page dimensions, margins, columns, bleed, and text options in a single settings dialog.

2

Select & Order

Pick all your Word files at once, then reorder them with the built-in drag list to set your chapter sequence.

3

Build

Click OK and watch the progress bar as the script creates sections, threads text, preserves your Word fonts, maps styles, and outputs your document.

One price. Yours forever.

No subscriptions, no annual renewals. Pay once and use it on all your projects.

Please note: Images from your Word documents will be imported but will not retain their exact positioning. You will need to manually adjust and reposition images in InDesign after the import. The script handles text, styles, and document structure automatically.

Questions & Answers

Can I try before I buy?
Yes — the demo version is fully functional but limited to 10 pages. Download it, test with your own Word files, and buy the full license when you're ready to remove the page limit.
How do I receive my license key?
After your PayPal payment is confirmed, we'll generate your personal license key (tied to your name and email) and send it to you by email — typically within 24 hours, often much sooner.
Which versions of InDesign are supported?
The script works with Adobe InDesign CC 2019 and later. It uses standard ExtendScript, so it's compatible with all recent versions on both macOS and Windows.
Can I use it on multiple computers?
Your license is tied to your name and email, not to a specific machine. You can use it on any computer where you have InDesign installed.
What if I lose my license key?
No problem — just email us with the name and email address you used when purchasing, and we'll re-send your key.
Do you offer refunds?
Since there's a free demo version you can test first, we generally don't offer refunds. However, if you have a genuine issue, contact us and we'll work something out.
What happens to images in my Word documents?
Images are imported from your Word files, but they will not land in their exact original positions. Word and InDesign handle image placement very differently, so you will need to manually adjust, reposition, and resize images in InDesign after the import. The script focuses on getting all your text content, styles, and structure in place — image fine-tuning is a manual step.
